As a Cloud Engineer you will implement and build AWS cloud-based solutions to enhance cloud data migration.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of cloud services and solutions using Amazon Web Services including serverless architecture
  • Experience planning and executing on-premises to AWS migrations
  • Work closely with application development and data engineer teams on day-to-day tasks along with project planning and implementation
  • Thorough knowledge of cloud service provider capabilities and integration
  • Manage AWS resource stack EC2, RDS and Fully Managed Services
  • S3 bucket administration (ACLs, policies, LifeCycle, replication etc)
  • Manage Security Groups for EC2 instances, knowledge of IGW, routes, and ACLs
  • Data Migration from On-premises to Cloud Storage RDS / Aurora / DynamoDB / Redshift
  • Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a cloud or virtualized environment
  • Working knowledge of the applicable programing languages, orchestration, and automation tools
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience and knowledge of driving automation into all aspects of the build and release process
  • Excellent organizational, communication, multitasking, human relations, and customer service skills

Essential Functions:

  • Migrate on-premises infrastructure and data to AWS cloud
  • Administers and documents design of cloud resource Enterprise Systems Infrastructure to meet business requirements for reliability and business recovery
  • Integrates new solutions with existing cloud resources or on-premise infrastructure, and evaluates impact to efficiently service changing business needs
  • Designs, develops, deploys, and maintains cloud based solutions to meet business service requirements
  • Provides best practices, standards, training, and general support for the cloud environment
  • Administers, executes, and documents security controls for cloud resource, including system access and compliance needs, to ensure integrity and confidentiality of data and systems per departmental and corporate policy
  • Monitors and alerts on availability and performance issues with cloud provider’s services

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Three years of experience in enterprise systems infrastructure, including two years of experience with scripting, automating, and deploying in AWS, or related experience
  • Cloud certifications, including Amazon Web Services certified, preferred
